❓ Parent Questions

Frequently asked
questions

Clear answers for parents about how Out of School works, why digital support is effective, and how our curriculum-aligned maths practice supports primary pupils.

Do I need online tuition or face-to-face tuition?

No - face-to-face is not necessary. Our platform is fully digital, and that is exactly what makes it work.

Assignments go straight to the parent portal. Every homework set and question your child works on, along with how they did, is sent directly to your parent portal. You can see exactly what they have done and how they are progressing, whenever suits you.

Parents play a big role. Because everything is visible and accessible through the portal, you are not left in the dark the way you often are with traditional face-to-face tutoring. You can check in on your child's work, review what they have solved, and support them at a time that fits your schedule.

Learning happens on your time, not a fixed slot. Rather than committing to a set weekly session at a tutoring centre, your child works through structured homework and practice whenever it suits your family - early evening, weekend, or whatever works.

No commute, no rigid appointments. Especially for busy parents, this matters. There is no travelling to a centre and no fixed one-hour slot to work around.

Built for busy families. If you do not have a lot of spare time to sit with your child through every session, the portal does the heavy lifting by showing what has been completed and where support is needed, so you can step in exactly when and where it helps most.

So face-to-face and rigid one-to-one online sessions are not necessary, especially if you are a busy parent without much free time. Our platform is built around flexibility, giving you visibility and control without demanding a fixed time commitment.

Which curriculum do you follow?

We follow the National Curriculum for England.

All our lessons, homework, and practice questions are mapped directly to what your child is learning in school, covering Key Stage 1, Years 1-2, and Key Stage 2, Years 3-6.

This includes full SATs preparation for Year 6 and 11+ exam preparation where relevant. Everything we teach reinforces and builds on what is being taught in the classroom, rather than following a separate or generic syllabus.
