Service Description

What Out of School provides

Out of School provides an online maths homework and progress-tracking platform for primary school children in the United Kingdom. Our service includes daily structured homework, instant answer correction, a parent progress portal, and optional one-to-one tuition sessions.

Curriculum alignment

All content is aligned with the England & Wales National Curriculum for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Mathematics (Years 1–6). We do not guarantee alignment with Scottish, Northern Irish, or international curricula.

1 month free trial

New users may access one month of platform access as a free trial. No payment details are required to begin the trial. Continued access after the free period requires a paid subscription.

Service availability

We aim to provide continuous access to the platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary interruption. We will endeavour to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

Subscription & Payment Terms

Subscription plans

Out of School offers monthly subscription plans. Current pricing is displayed on our Pricing page and is subject to change with reasonable notice. Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled.

Billing

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed securely through our payment provider. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

One-to-one tuition

Where one-to-one tuition sessions are booked, fees are charged at the published hourly rate in addition to the monthly subscription. Sessions must be paid for in advance. Missed sessions without 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be given at least 30 days’ written notice of any price increase. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and retry the charge. Access to the platform may be suspended if a payment remains outstanding for more than 7 days.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel, please contact us by email at info@outofschool.co.uk or through the contact form on our website. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to the platform until that date.

Refunds

Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once charged, except where required by UK consumer law. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will investigate promptly.

Right to cancel (cooling-off period)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription from the date of purchase if you have not yet accessed the digital service. Once you have accessed the platform or started the 1 month free trial, the cooling-off right no longer applies. The free trial period is provided in lieu of this right.

Cancellation by Out of School

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in abusive or inappropriate behaviour, or if we are required to do so by law. In such cases we will provide written notice where reasonably practicable.
